Suggestion: New mod for adding 5% for under 10%
Suggestion: another mod which adds 5% to farming everything under 10%, to not have any more 0% growth rate.

To be clear, you mean locations like obediance which have 0% would be changed to 5%?

Yes. 0% to 4% changed to 5%. That way, we can grow anything anywhere, but for a high price.
I mean, realistically, we could simply change the top layer of soil with imported soil, or add natural fertilizers (i.e. trees, branches, biomass, coal, charcoal, terracotta, compost, manure) for increasing the soil's quality.

I think i have to change a some other settings as well to make it fertile. those zones generally have no or very little water and fertility values.

I might have time next weekend.

Thanks!
The thing about the water is that the deepest wells you can build can usually get some water.

actually good point, i don't think i will touch the water. I like the idea of a successfull farming town that has to import all of its water, until its high tech enough.

It would also be possible to have two towns, with one used only for sourcing water. It would still be importing, but importing from another town you own, so you don't have to buy (and thus lose money), if you have the food to keep working.

Plus that people might actually start buying water, with this addition.
