Arma 3
Ground Attack

I actually found some of the features of this mission to be annoying:

1) You are forced to walk to the helicopter during the beginning of the mission, in spite of a known enemy threat within 2 km. The script doesn't simply make you "start walking" and give you the ability to override that, but instead applies a per-frame restriction on running. Given the imminent danger that the enemy convoy on the island represents, sitting there grooving to music is a little on the silly side. =)

2) Mandatory intro. You can't skip the briefing text appearing on the screen, taking 10-15 seconds every time you start the mission.

3) No way to turn off the music, which I'm sure is a licensed soundtrack with appropriate credits to the producer. ;-) TPW_MODS eventually plays a radio transmission which turns it off, but it'd be nice to have a toggle or some such.

4) No "lose" condition. If you crash the helicopter without dying, or if the enemy causes a mobility kill and you manage to save the aircraft, then you are stuck on the ground permanently -- your copilot will disembark. You will not. You will therefore have to restart the scenario manually. The scenario should recognise a mayday condition and either force an end to the scenario or attempt to send reinforcements/SAR.

5) No ability to disembark, related to #4. Part of the pleasure of the Arma series is the ability to accomplish objectives in a fashion other than originally intended, but this mission shoehorns you into the cockpit. If I've crashed the helicopter but I still have a carbine available, the stuff of legends is made this way. ;-)

6) Mandatory destruction of all vehicles. It should be smart enough to recognise if the vehicles' engines have been destroyed or their wheels are destroyed, even without the presence of a catastrophic kill.

All that said, it's still quite faithful to the OFP original, with proper allowances for the new game engine and unit types of course. Well done.

I just couldn't hit anything, though i'm sure that's gross incompetence on my part. 9 times out of ten I would get so frustrated with the controls I would crash the thing halfway to sighting the convoy.

My only issue out of those is 4. I hadn't noticed the running problem, though it does make sense with the reason you gave. Also, to be fair, the OPFOR could still salvage the immobilized vehicles for what it's worth.

Perhaps a radio toggle for the music or something would be good, for people who record videos and don't want copyright strikes or similar.

id like to not be forced to walk to the helo, unless my copilot could warm it up so im not waiting to get going.

You can turn your music volume all the way down to get rid of it. The only things I found to be annoying were the music and the fact that I can't complete the mission. I'm lucky if I can get one vehicle before getting obliterated by multiple HMG ifrits.

I only want to be able to change the music, perhaps some rolling stones or other acdc tracks would be fun!
