Are HEAT shells possible, as in the old "recoilless rifle" mod? Basically having a small explosive radius, and a penetrator projectile that causes more damage/armor penetration on direct hits. Perhaps the penetrator could have a very limited range from the center of the explosion. I guess the end result would be a cheaper, but weaker/kind of multi-role, version of the sabot shell.

Also, would it be possible to let the field gun fire more shell types? Perhaps in the form of reduced-yield versions of the regular shells if balance is a concern?

HEAT shells are doable. And yes being able to fire all the shells from the field gun are in the works

How about implementing compatibility with some of the gas mask mods? I know there are other, larger mods that implement stuff like that, but I had this specific mod in mind:

It would be neat to have both colonists and raiders that would be immune to tear gas and such

all the gases are affected by ToxicSensitivity so any mods that have gear that uses that stat should work.

actually, whats your opinion on launcher variants of the grenades that you already have here?

been toying with trying to make a single launcher that you can swap the grenade type out... may just give up for now and just make a bunch of thumpers.

Rimsenal (I think... I have a lot of mods going) has a modifiable launcher, but you have to use a bench to change the type. I keep two or three launchers in my armory and modify them as needed.
