Then I am relieved. The thing has robbed me of the last nerve. ;)
I'm using 4 large speed sails and 1 medium speed sail. At full sail, it's hard to turn (still turns easier than the galleon with 6 speed sails), but if I drop to 1/4 sail it turns pretty close to the brig using the same method. Are you not experiencing the same?
-Edited to also say-
I think this ship should be have the same speed as the schooner with 1 large and 1 small speed sails or the 6 large speed sail galleon. However, I don't want to see it out turn the schooner. I think it should turn like the brig.
The handling should be much better. The problem is that everyone has a different feeling as it should be. But do not forget. The ship weight as well as the Galleon. So it can not turn as fast as a schooner or brig. The original class in real: Indiaman Galeon
Exactly right. These big ships like the brig, galleon, and now the indiaman should be the fastest ships when traveling in a straight line, but the smaller ships should be able to beat them in turning and agility.
That's why I think you guys have the perfect balance with this last change. It makes the indiaman possibly the best all-around ship, but doesn't make the other ships obsolete. The galleon still has the role of being a ship of the line and the huge cannon payload. The brig still might have the edge in a little better turning (but not better by much) and is cheaper to build in exchange for a less carry weight. The indiman now makes the brig into a proper medium size ship and feels like more of an upgrade from the schooner.
I'm very pleased with this indiaman and I'm having a blast sailing it right now!
