FAQ, or "Possible Questions"
Obviously, no one has asked about my old boardsets, but there are some questions you might have about them:

Why aren't these boardsets working?
Due to possible reuse of my bricksets and background images in the future, I've split those into their own Steam Workshop item, Xane's ImageSets. Subscribe to that item then restart the game and the boardsets should start working. If you see an error about the brickset not matching, report it to me and I'll force an update of both Workshop items.

Can I use your pretty, custom bricksets?
Sure, just give credit in your board pack's description and mark Xane's ImageSets as "required" so players know to subscribe to get the latest versions. Keep in mind my bricksets are that Steam Workshop item, not this boardset, which only contains board files and the Mary's Magical Adventure background images used in Security Smasher.

What did you use?
If you're referring to image editors, originally I used only Microsoft Paint, since it was the only program I had that could export 256-color bitmap images, which DXImage required. The problem with that program is how it changes every color in the image to its own 256-color palette rather than generating one.

Now, I have Photoshop (which was used for Security Smasher's 256-color brickset), but limiting myself to 256 colors per image is no longer necessary thanks to the 20th Anniversary Edition, so now I just use Texturizer (Longbow Games's texture generator) and Photoshop with no palette limiting my work.

I didn't save the brick graphics before palette-limiting them, so that's how it will remain for now. The bricks look unique from the ones I've made with Texturizer, but if it bothers anyone, reply to this discussion and I will consider making a new version like I did with the Arkanoid brick set.

As for editors, I used DXBoard for all of the original boards in this board pack, but due to the official editor supporting DXBoard's boardsets, I could easily convert all of my old boards using it, and I won't be going back to DXBoard, or the original DX-Ball 2 for that matter, since 20th Anniversary Edition does some things better than the older tools and game!

DXImage was used for creating bricksets and boardsets, but due to its weird 256-color bitmap image requirement, it's basically obsolete with 20th Anniversary Edition's full-color PNG support! All new backgrounds and remade bricksets I create for the old boards will be "true-color".

How were 4:3 boardsets changed to make use of the extra 16:9 space?
Most boards were centered with extra content added on the sides, like the "big X" board seen in the preview image, but one board had the sides blocked off with invincible bricks. Any boards that involve banking up the left side are shifted all the way to the right, with extra bricks to bank off on the left side

Why are your boards not a bunch of images?
While it's cute that boards are usually art of objects and other things, I prefer making my boards a bit more "abstract" to control the gameplay, such as shafts your ball can bounce up and levels like a couple of Board Pack 1's boards where the ball has to go around invincible bricks to hit the weak spot. Restricting myself to just pixel-art would really limit how much unique gameplay I can fit into each board. Magical Mary: BrickArt Blast! uses pixel art, so if you're interested in destroying pictures like some BoardSets, subscribe to that BoardSet instead.

Why Arkanoid?
While I haven't played Arkanoid, it's clear it has similarities with the DX-Ball series in terms of how bricks randomly drop powerups. I think I went on Spriter's Resource and found Arkanoid's SNES brick graphics, then threw them into Paint and nastily resized them without any altering. It's weird I bothered with this, seing how the "Arkanoid" boardset has more in common with Breakout..

If there are any more questions about my boardset, ask them in this thread and I'll add them above.
