This means you can quit and then go continue to try a fight with different series of draw cards/choices, of if you want to simply make a different choice in an event or shop.
This is especially useful for miss-clicks.
The Level above this is having the auto save folder open and tabbing over and copy pasting the save file, thus allowing you to now treat the game as if it had manual saving.
You're already reached modding stage of owning your game, so can consider this an optional manual save mod feature ;)
