Pawns put weapon into inventory when they reload
When a pawn runs out of ammo they usually put it into their inventory for a short time as a reload period then they re equip it I'm guessing. when one of my colonists reload a gun they put it into their inventory and the gun isn't loaded nor is the gun equipped.
