Turrets seem kind of useless
For the amount of ammo that a double auto-cannon turret can use in a single fight against a centipede, they seem incredibly useless. You might score one or two hits with a turret before it blows through it's full magazine, and the shots just fly off into the distance. That's against a giant mechanoid. I know they're not sniper rifles, but machinegun turrets, both manned and automated, need to be more accurate. Is there something wrong with my game or is this just how it's meant to be? Everything else makes sense, but the turrets man.

Turrets generally don't work too great in the open because they start firing at their max range where they're unlikely to hit stuff and blow through all their ammo like you said. You should either stick them in a killbox 30-40 tiles long so they're not firing at max range and will be more effective, or hook them up to switches so you can power them on once enemies close the distance.

Yeah I kind of figured that's what was happening, the problem is I just dislike kill boxes. Most of the time I play on open forest maps. I just feel like kill boxes are cheating. I got it figured out though. Railgun turrets and sentry guns are both sighted more at an effective range.
