I was really loving this mod until...
First time playing using this mod but i ran into a problem, i had a mech hive drop in they have a turret with range 75 and an ammo delivery beacon thing so i can't run it out of ammo.
Now how do you usually deal with mech hives? Mortars. so i thought i'll research mortars and use them to kill it.
The one and only problem i've had with the ammo system appeared here... ammo for mortar isn't chemfuel...
If it was just a cosmetic/name change that'd be fine, but it's not, you appear to have made it exclusively obtainable from milking boomalopes... Which are not only annoying to own/keep also require a fair amount of random luck to even have them spawn.

I don't understand what the point of changing it was, is it to make mortar's less used? they're so innaccurate and don't (by default) take shooting skill into account that they're hardly useful anyway. they have primarily three uses, killing mech hives, siege an enemy base or counter mortar an enemy siege..

Maybe its supposed to make the game harder? well it sure does that...
This surely needs to be an option... "replace chemfuel in recipes" tickbox in the mod settings...

Also another thing on the same subject, What use is chemfuel now? just chemfuel generators?
I actually expected chemfuel to be the propellant for bullets so i started producing chemfuel very early...
I was very surprised to discover is basically useless...

I believe incendiary shells require chemfuel, and HE shells require FSX, that you harvest from tames Boomalopes.
The relation to those being that chemfuel is a slow burn, which is why it's used as a fuel source, while FSX is explosive.
I don't know if the change of choice of material for manufacturing ammunition really affects the difficulty of Mechanoids. Cuz they seem like a majorly overpowered pain in the @ss enough on average for someone to have made a mod that supposedly makes them easier to deal with. The 81mm artillery is just kinda useless on Mechanoids right now, considering HE shells don't do alot of damage to Mechanoids, even on direct hits, and Incen. shells don't have the napalm like sticking power that molotovs or flamethrowers have, to effectively combat Mechanoids.
In short, if no mod exists to buff the ability of CE artillery, then maybe get the mod to make Mechanoids, supposedly, easier to deal with.
Also, you can't craft 155mm Howitzer shells required for the Heavy Artillery emplacement at the moment, so don't bother building it.

I dont think incendery take chemfuel either, its a different resource AGAIN, i dont know what it is called so i'm not 100% sure but the icon is not the normal chemfuel icon lol.
I have found its used to MAKE some weapons... somehow? maybe its used a grease now? idk...

Theres some serious logic flaws in this mod.. BUT the mod its self is very good.
I'm curious if you can use something like simple sidearms to make them use daggers when enemies get too close but i'm yet to test that.

I've decided the only real way to deal with mechanoids with this mod is to use a faction manager to remove the faction completely... which is sad but it really just doesn't seem to be tuned to deal with them. so, sadly i'm going to have to make a new game but this time i'm going to remove the mechanoid faction and i guess just make some more angry pirate factions or something lol

You can make FSX with chemful.
Also the other material that is used in creating incendiary is produced with growing a special plant.

mortars are much stronger in CE and if you have a spotter they are almost pinpoint

Smoke prevents turrets from firing entirely. Put a pawn in power armor and shield upfront to tank the damage and draw turret's attention. Use jetpacks to quickly get into melee zone of turrets so they can't fire. Use low-shield pack so they can't fure. Use EMP rounds so they get stunned.
Tl; DR: Git gud.
