Making items from other mods compatible with shields.
I'm trying to make a weapon usable with a shield, however I cant seem to figure it out. What needs to be added/changed in order for a weapon to be considered usable with shields?

I have tried adding the CE_onehandedweapon tag, which did not work, as well as many other things that i cant fully remember atm.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Also: I am using RIMMSqol to edit everything on the fly in game, rather than pouring over hundreds of lines of text manually, so any assistance specific to this would be helpful as well.

Sorry for necroposting but I'm having the same issue, did you ever get this working?

I have created a weapon mod and made it compatible with CE - adding a patch for the armour penetration and damage successfully using xpath patching.

I used vanilla weapon expanded's combat knife as a base and despite having the same patching operations and using the "CE_onehandedweapon" tag, the new weapon is not recognised as usable with shields despite the existing combat knife it is based on being usable.

Any ideas what I could be missing, is there an additional requirement for making custom weapons usable with shields after patching?
