Suggestion: "shot to kill" & "shot to knock down" modes
I have an idea for a cool and usefull mechanic.

We can switch beetwen 2 aiming modes: shot to kill and shot to knock down. Each mode will specify which parts of the body will colonist focus at and will also affect the accuracy.

"Shot to kill" mode is basically what we have now. Colonists basically just try to hit the targets and kill them.
In "shot to knock down" mode, on the other hand, colonists will try to avoid shoting at vital organs to not kill the target. They will instead focus on limbs to lower targets fighting capabilities, mobility and, hopefully, knock him down. This mode can be extremely usefull when we want to pacify colonists on murdering spree or when we want to capture running raiders instead of killing them. Of course, targeting small parts of the body is more difficult, so colonists will get accuracy debuff. Also, target can still be killed by accident.

There are plenty of NL ways to knock down a man. Beanbag ammo, melee with blunt weapons, EMP ammo is also good (tho it can cause infections but is pretty neglibigle). I disagree, yes shooting someone in the leg is not a legitmate option but there should be a way to tell my colonist to not aim for the head and blow his brains out.

They always aim to the center of the mass. Headshots are accidental. If you want nonlethal, use EMP ammo, or beanbags.
