My friend is faster than me
for some reason when he is without the rope (both of us) he goes faster than me. Any reason why?

because he is got a better computer !!! try to erase some mods or turn down your graphics maybe this will work.

I know I'm 3 months late, but his playermodel's ragdoll is probably lighter. Every physics prop in the Source engine has a weight value that the physics engine uses, and this includes ragdolls.
