MoveIt as a placement tool
Hey Quboid, first off, many many thanks for continuing this most essential and arguably most awesome mod of them all. We're all very much in your debt, good Sir.

Now for a quick suggestion: Would it be possible to use MoveIt as a replacement for the game's clumsy placement tools? Seeing as we can export and then import things, which can then be placed very comfortably using MoveIt's cloning mode, I imagine it should be rather simple to do something like this when you click a building, network, or whatever on one of the game's toolbars, too. Ideally, there'd be an option - or a modifier key - governing whether this will activate the game's normal placement tool or MoveIt instead.

What do you think?
Cheers!

I've had that suggested to Quboid long ago before this 'old' post. But it's still relevant I think. Since Find It 2 is actively maintained as of now, I will forward this suggestion to Sway and Algernon (owners) ad I believe it would fit there better :

CTRL+Click (to select an item from results) could trigger a Move it Cloning placement alternative to standard in-game tools.

For networks, it could paste a straight segment like 32m long, nothing fancy, no connection available, just plop it like if you were cloning it <-- This part I'm not sure about @Quboid :cleankey:

This would speed up everyone workflow by using Find It and Move It mods hand in hand! Face it peep, anyone wants this.

Thanks for supporting this, Deeheks. The original post may be old, but this still bugs me to no end on an every gaming-day basis. The game's own tools are just so clunky, you always have to readjust things using MoveIt anyway.
