"Align elevation with nearest road" feature suggestion
Heya, first off, what an amazing mod. In fact, it is so amazing that one can fall into the trap of just simply taking it for granted as a core component of game play. I can simply NOT imagine CS without it.

I wanted to offer a feature suggestion – and this is something that probably only detailers will want – but I thought I would suggest anyhow. I mean no presumptuousness by it. First I will describe the detail challenge, and then a suggestion on how to fix it with a feature.

Often when making really big neighborhoods, one will copy identically-sized blocks over multiple times. For a realistic look, the terrain must be exactly the same height. But this is a shame. If the terrain is not the same height, one can use the Move-it feature to adjust to terrain height, but it is rare that this matches the height of the road in front of the building. A number of techniques can of course be deployed for this. My technique is to (1) align the first building on the block with the closest node, (2) the last building on the block with its respective closest node, (3) highlight them, (4) highlight the buildings in between them, (5) and then use the "slope" elevation function. This usually works beautifully, but it takes a lot of time. Which now leads me to my suggestion:

Would one not be able to create a feature like "align building with nearest edge of road"? To do this, the mod could (1) identify the midpoint of each building, (2) triangulate its distance to the nearest edge of the road one highlights, (3) calculate the elevation of the curb edge by using the heights of the two nodes it sits between and its distance between the two, (4) raise or lower the building to that elevation.

Not sure if I am making sense and not sure if this is a feature anyone else would want. But I thought I would throw it out there! Thanks again for the fabulous contributions you make!
