[Possible Solution Found?] Pawns are unable to store more than 2 stacks at a time and attempt to store endlessly.
I have a fairly large modlist, but haven't run into this issue until recently, where storage items like barrels and shelves can only store two stacks of items, with the rest getting kicked out of the storage and my pawns keep attempting to put it back, causing them to loop storing dropping and storing again.

Edit Dec 17, 2021: I haven't found a solution for my specific case aside from wiping my whole modlist clean and just making a new colony, but the fix listed in reply #6 may work for you guys.

Found a possible solution! Tell me if it works!

This is happening because of the storage units saying 0kg mass limit. Did you remove a mod and then this happened immediately after?

There's an option at the bottom of the LWM mod settings which allows you to edit the settings of each storage unit. Enabling and disabling that will reset everything to default values. Since this bug has to do with max mass limit, this is probably the correct solution.

Mayhaps found a fustration inducing answer to this problem; If you are using Awesome inventory you will need or may tick off "Find and Equip weapon". Dunno if this fixes it in the long run.

Try disabling "use loadout" in Awesome Inventory, it worked for me.

Thanks for everyone who helped finding solutions here. Loadouts have consistently caused problems with DS because I-don't-actually-know-why. But many of them do...
I expect with 1.4 these loadout related problems will get more rare (I hope)!

The only way I get it to work is if I restart the game entirely, probably some issue with another mod but this works as a semi fix
