seriously. would appreciate a guide of some sort.

i'm not that good at the game but i personally think if you build your economy right, you would have a better chance to find good units to stay for late game

a few tips that i have:
- try to save 4 golds on creep round 3 to get +1 gold on the start of round 4
- try to keep your streak, either win streak or lose streak, as it will bring you so much golds for the long run
- try to get good relic on round 10, such as malefic (especially good for lose streak), great vault, mango, seed

with good economy, usually you will end the game with 400-500 golds, and with that much gold you should have really good units on your board

just play keeper of the light, with mage bonus and magic dmg items.
