Any tips for utilizing irrigation?
I'm intrigued by the new irrigation feature, but don't see much documentation about it beyond "it exists!"
Has anyone played around with this feature to find good ways of using? What about attractive farm layouts?

I dunno how to use irrigation either..... could defenitly use some clarification on how to do that in the mod....

For better or worse, it is deep in the engineer tree. (or the geomancer) The water controlling gates are early in the engineering tree and can be used to control water flow into ditches. Water can be supplied by natural sources, geomancer stones or engineer pumps.

Would it be possible to have a setting to increase the water proximity to a larger area? That way you could make the ditches below ground level and maintain a cleaner look on the farm

You already have that option. Build a farm on the side of a cliff and check out how deep it goes.

I've had this game for a long time and it never occurred to me to do this to check. I always thought the farms required water within the 1 tile border. This will hopefully help my designs a lot.
