I don’t like the fact that the shades are a separate entity. There’s a reason why the Security Shades are really cheap and unused. Partially because they’re low poly, but also because they act like a Heavy-exclusive Graybanns or other shades.

Maybe you could incorporate them into the hair cosmetic? Or the facial hair? It’d work better for a set. I’d personally recommend the hair, as it’d be cool to have an alternative to the Hound Dog.

I’d also recommend creating two styles. “Smoked” and “Deep-fried”, for changing up how paint is applied.

yeah, originally the glasses and earrings were also going to be included with the hair and beard, but the tf2 workshop importer for hats only allows so many polygons to be used. Split between all four of these things that are all complicated, it ate up olygons really fast, so I had to split it into two items. However not all is lost because now this lets me gives lots of polygons for both individual items to prevent that low poly issue like the security shades. We thought about making the hair+glasses the first item, but decided the hair+beard is much more recognizable as a single item for selling the look we were going for.

Thank you for the feedback though, and those paint styles would be pretty cool!

I appreciate the inside information.

The hair style idea comes from certain beards, like the Five-Month Shadow, where Style 1 is highlights, and Style 2 is the full hair. I'd like it mostly because it allows it to mesh well with other beards.
