I think he's asking if there was a way we could get them to just replace the ugly vanilla items. At least the items of which there are vanilla representations of. Like the table, the bed, dressers, chairs, stools, shelf, endtable, etc.

To conserve space in the building menu and keep the original stats.

I'd love to see a complete replace of the vanilla furniture. It's a very lovely artsytlle.

The reason there's no replacer is because many of the new items are made with materials that you couldn't make original furniture with, or is simply stuff that should only be made with wood (to maintain the medieval theme). For example, in vanilla, you can't make a cooking stove out of wood, and it takes 3x1 tiles, while benefiting from up to 2 toolboxes, but the Gloomy Furniture cooking stoves are 2x1, made from wood, and can benefit from 1 cupboard and 1 kitchen utensil rack.
