TARDIS (Legacy)
Interior Manuel flight
This has been talked about on the feature disscussion about Manuely flying the tardis by using the levers and parts on the console to fly the tardis this is pretty much using flight mode but without going into the console and disapering here's how I think it should work so you activate flight mode which should renamed to Manuel flight mode (sorry I'm bad at spelling) and then you can move the monitor around the console and the view of the tardis is in third or first person but in first person the view doesn't spin it stays in the direction that you are going or with the direction pointer which will change the direction it's looking if it isn't locked into the position that you are heading and you use the helmic regulator to steer the tardis and say you want to make a sharp turn like in the current into you use one or the levers or buttons on the console and it's makes a very sharp turn and you press a button near the space time throttle to change it to speed mode which allows you to change the speed you are flying at either slow median or fast

But why the Helmic Regulator? As I recall, the helmic regulator sets the time... :p Why not the Directional Pointer... :P And the phase controller as the direction? (Up/down, backwards/forwards?)
Biased_Trapezoid 19 JUN 2014 a las 13:59
Well the helmic regulator in the tardis handbook is called the steering mechanism so I thought t whould be good for steering and the phase control can be up and down and you can lock the way your going and it could keep going if you prees a certain button and the keyboard and the atom accelerator could help you navigate
Biased_Trapezoid 19 JUN 2014 a las 16:02
oh and when you go up to the helmic regulator you e press and hold e for 2 seconds and then you can use wasd and to fly around and you can also use the keyboard which will have more functions you can change what buttons/ levers do what like you could use the helmic regulator to fly the whole thing or you could use the phase controler for up and down time rotor handbrake for forward or what ever you customise the way you mave teh monitor is you press e and then you are holding it and then where you move it will move around the console and the monitor have a few ways to see how you would like to view the tardis 1: first person which it doesnt spin the camera moves to the direction you are flying 2:third person it also moves to the direction you are flyign unless you use the directional pointer this also applys to first person 3: map view what this does is it shows the tardis which looks like a red dot and it shows the area around it from a birds eye view and it looks like this https://www.google.com/search?q=tardis+monitor&rlz=1C1KMZB_enUS534US534&espv=2&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=uWujU-flFsL2oATs7YDgBA&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ&biw=1858&bih=995#q=tardis+screen&tbm=isch&facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=t12TOLaGOeWqBM%253A%3BBKmhIKd7V-FUEM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Ffc04.deviantart.net%252Ffs70%252Ff%252F2010%252F008%252Fb%252F2%252FTARDIS_Screen_3_by_Biodoctor900.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.deviantart.com%252F%253Fview_mode%253D2%2526order%253D9%2526q%253Dby%25253ABiodoctor900%3B800%3B600

What about the throttle? :P
Biased_Trapezoid 20 JUN 2014 a las 6:18
The throttle is speed I was just giving an example of the configuration option oh and when you are flying the tardis with the helmic regulator it also locks your view so you can fly around in first and third and birds eye view without having a problem
techno156 21 JUN 2014 a las 20:49
Why not have it be displayed on the scanner? :P
Biased_Trapezoid 22 JUN 2014 a las 7:43
How would you see it when your back is to the scanner when the monitor is great for it plus the monitor is also a scanner plus you could move it around the console if he adds that
techno156 23 JUN 2014 a las 0:47
Well, you can stop, can't you? :p And only hover?
Biased_Trapezoid 23 JUN 2014 a las 7:27
Yes you can stop and you can hover if hover is on

Still... Shame this isn't a too popular idea, huh? :(
Biased_Trapezoid 24 JUN 2014 a las 10:54
yea

addtional: with people wanting the tardis to do the physical flight to locations instead of demt before i say what it should do let me explain how the physical flight works what happenes in the show is that the doctor types in the coordinates and then uses the space time throttle which then makes the tardis demat and then the tardis appears without the remat and it flys to the location but the doctor uses stuff on the console to kinda guide it and then when its at its location it materializes at the area thats what should happen with the physical flight/"auto pilot"
techno156 25 JUN 2014 a las 1:45
Maybe... Although the throttle is just a throttle, as I remember...

I do like the idea of manually flying the tardis, but I'm not sure how it would work exactly.
Biased_Trapezoid 17 AGO 2014 a las 11:46
another addition to what i said above if the tardis is in a building it will dmat and apper outside if its not in a building it will physically fly in stead of dmatting and same for landing its in a building it will remat in there if there is not building it will just land there without remat
