For me the council concept needs some rework. The associations should go way beyond just landed titles and include relationship to the liege, religious affiliation, and how well the office is for the person getting it. The simple 'council faction' concept doesn't work as each member will have their own ideas and possible individual faction backing them, thus making the balancing act of who to put on the council a trickier proposition due to inter-faction rivalries amongst court members, not just the landed nobles. Paradox gave a good first attempt, to be sure, but the simplistic nature of just wanting to be on the council due to having so much to oversee leaves out that they aren't the only ones and that there is competition amongst them for those few positions. It can get pretty Byzantine with a large court.

Thanks for your work, and once I finish with my current game I'll give this a serious look.
