(Bug) Can't remove the mod without breaking the game
So, I installed this mod recently but I kinda want to remove it to have some vanilla runs and maybe later try out some other mods. However when I unsubscribe from it or disable the mod ingame I can't play the game anymore. It keeps crashing after the introduction (goes to a white screen and the game closes).

I've tried removing my installed mods one by one and revelations is the only one that gives me this problem. Trying a clean install of the game doesn't fix this. I've even tried the "To anyone suffering from the mod generally not functioning" steps from the stickied issues thread but it didn't work.

Does anyone have any idea of how to fix this? I mean I'm fine with playing with the mod on for now but eventually I'd like to disable it.

do you have a run that you are able to continue? thats the only thing that feels like could be causing this. start a run with revelations enabled and end it by dying or winning, just in any way so that you're unable to continue. please write back if this works

Hey, so I loaded up the game to try out your suggestion and even tough I didn't have a run I could continue, my last run was a victory so the "rerun" option was avaible (which probably was a revelations run, causing the problem when the mod was removed). I started a new run, died, disabled the mod and everything was working normally again.

I completely forgot that the rerun was a thing so I didn't even think about that. Thanks for the help!

i didn't even think reruns could do stuff like this too. this helps a lot, i should also thank you for making me aware of this possibility, heh.

I am also having an issue with this. No runs to continue or rerun. Unsubscribe to the mod. Even uninstalled the game and reinstalled. Still crashes the game when trying to go to the title screen.

My game also crashes when I disable this mod and try to do a run. I tried Cookino's method but it didn't help.

Edit: Figured it out! It's a problem with the "Item Ban List" mod. I disabled both and now everything is working again.
