Explosive barrels not being lit off by guns

Normally in gmods vanilla state, explosive barrels and possibly some other explosives ignite when shot. This does not happen with explosives with vFire enabled..
Its where the game knows its on fire, but it does not do any damage to the physics prop and there are no visuals.
