Vanilla Cargo Ships not working as intended
The new cargo ships appearently are broken when using MES. When they spawn, their according faction color isn't applied (Just the standard red on all of the prefabs) and they stop moving after a few seconds. Their AI is still intact though, because if you start shooting them they still react.
I tested it on a completely clean vanilla world using only MES and by spawning a ship via /MES.Spawn.SpaceCargoShip

Cargo ships never worked with MES. Why would they now?
They did. There was even a mod to disable them from spawning

Preupdate they worked fine. They go to point A and Despawn at point B. This is due to the remote block being used as most if not all MES related mods used as well. The new Update changed how the cargo ships worked Via there redesign. NONE of the new ships use the Remote Control block, not Factoruim or any of the Vanilla factions. They use Ai Blocks now and MES is deleting their waypoints out of the Basic Ai block which now tells the ship to go to Point B (Despawn Point). This design change breaks Hostile Take Over Mod and Co-op Take Over mod as well since they too use the Remote Control block.

same here, now cargoships are having their AI deleted and not moving as a result

CaptArthur and Lucas knows of this issue on discord. It now comes down to when they will have time to fix it

i actually like the vanilla cargo ships and encounters now. still miss and love mes but find vanilla interesting
