It would definitely help keep things organised, rather than having it sort alphabetically and wondering where your mods are... Mod Organiser 2 has this for Bethesda games and it's sweet.
Here's an example:
Category Libraries
Harmony
BetterLoading
Core
Royalty
Hugslib
Humanoid Alien Races
etc...
Category Race Mods
mod a
mod b
mod c
mod d
Category Apparel Mods
mod 1
mod 2
mod 3
mod f (race mod that needs to be loaded after mod 3)
Put in the ability to move entire categories within the modlist rather than moving mods 1 by 1 and you have yourself some pretty good UX.
CTRL/SHIFT selection of mods is also something this mod manager sorely needs.
