Ship auto construction improvements? Other suggestions.
Does this mod improve the ship auto-build function? In vanilla it's pretty horrible in my opinion. It doesn't work at all with Behemoths. On Carriers it doesn't put any squadrons on. On a colony ship it won't put the colonization module on sometimes. It always puts on a ridiculous amount of engines.

In general it sucks. For a person like me who works a lot and barely has time to play the game, this sucks. I don't have time to spend hours building ships. I need this function to work better. Also, there should be more specific auto-build options like Offense, Defense, Support, Short-Medium-Long Range, etc.

Another issue I have with ship design is that there's no button to duplicate a template. You can't take a ship design and change it without overriding the original design. This is very annoying.

Also, the game makes default templates when you research certain techs. I have accidentally deleted these templates many times. It shouldn't be possible to delete ship templates that are default.

In Hearts of Iron 4 ship design it works a lot better. Stellaris does this better too probably.

Most of what you ask is straight up impossible to do with xml mods (making them painful to maintain and impossible to publish on the workshop) and the little that IS possible would require so much work I don't think I want to do it.

I also think the template system is flawed but I personally do not have much issues with the current implementation apart from not being able to duplicate templates and evolve ships to another template, but again, not doable with xml edits.
