UNOFICAL BUG'S LIST
hello! i made this so it would be more easy for the Author to locate what bugs we are having, instead of searching through the comments!

Bugs ive found:
1.) First Person camera will break after getting revived from a DFib.

2.) First Person camera will break if holding pills and you get pounced or knocked over by a charger (least that's what happened to me twice)

3.) (might be a bug) the camera can brifly snap to third person and back after getting pounced, healing, reviving from incapp, or doing other third person events. im not sure if there is a fix for this, as this could also be from lag, or server lag?

4.) on the Dark Carnival final, when we got into the chopper, the camera kept us stuck in first person till it faded to black.

5.) my friend was playing as Bill, we were on chapter 3 of No Mercy and he got pounced by a hunter and his view went outside of the map and then came back. (we were using your Schizophrenia mod, and he got pounced by a "fake" hunter, the one where it pounces you and then instantly disapears, so maybe that caused this camera bug? not sure though)


and those are the bugs that i myself have encounterd. if anyone finds more feel free to post them!

Thank you so much for putting this together! I believe I've fixed bugs 1, 2, 4 as of right now. Just have to update the addon at some point.

your welcome! happy to help with this! i hope the bug fixing goes well for you, and then after your done fixing them, take a break before trying to add the "first person deploying incendary and explosive" ammo stuff ^^

Well, I've already added the ammo pack deploying event. I also just tested it in Schizophrenia, and I think bug 5 is fixed.

good to hear! you have done an amazing job on this mod! and oh, i found another bug actually.

6.) when being dragged by a smoker's tongue, if you get dragged off a ledge without grabbing onto it, but are still being pulled by the tongue (falling while being dragged), the camera goes into third person until you hit the ground again from being dragged.

not sure what is causing this, maybe the mod only does the first person stuff for when you are on the "ground"? but i first noticed the smoker thing in Dead Center

yup, #6 is confirmed, i just tested in about 2 minutes ago... the view goes into third person when getting smoker tongue pulled off a high place, but then it can do 1 of two things.

1.) it can make your view go back into first person when you land

or

2.) it will prevent you from doing the first person events until you reload the map, or load a new map (using a saferoom for example)

but the second part to it happened after i got hit by a boomers puke... not sure if that triggered anything. but i hope this info help at all

If you die, your pov will go inside the map and stay there for the rest of the game

and to add to what Deathearth said... if you die, the camera is stuck to a common infecteds feet

A couple issues I had (potentially unrelated to what you tried to accomplish), one was the fact that you can see through the infected in almost every scenario (because viewpoint clips through infected model) and the other was the fact that when I would get incapacitated and still be pinned I would exit first person.

I do believe I've fixed the issue with the camera being placed in odd locations with the next update.

did you change how smokers grab you? because i could of swore the moment then grabbed you, it triggerd the first person... or odid you change that to where it only triggers when they start to pull you?

i miss the original way, but i understand

There's a setting for that, FPOnSmokerImmobilized, set it to 0 to go first person when smoked (regardless of if you're able to shoot), or set it to 1 to wait until you cannot shoot to go first person.

It should be Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/ems/fpp_settings.cfg

If the ems folder isn't there, create it, then go into a game with this addon enabled, and check the ems folder to see if it created it.
