With God's updates occurring and bringing an ever lingering possibility of breaking Jazztronauts, what's going to happen next?

I'm assuming that all creators and contributors to Jazztronauts have since moved on with their lives past this outstanding creation and are working on their own projects, meaning that it will no longer be updated or fixed if it does eventually break and cease to work.

But what's next for Jazztronauts? Will it forever stay as a niche and rarely played story floating in the workshop until it disappears, or are the creators planning something for the future? Such as handing it over to the fans to upkeep and restore the mod over time, or perhaps create a new, standalone story with the band of cats in another mod or separate entity from Gmod entirely.
