Cellist is a guy the bartender and pianist are both girls i think and I am not sure for singer

Mm...I see. Bartender doesn't look quite like a girl, but I suppose that's how it is. A bit boring if I say so myself.

The Cellist uses he/him, Bartender and Pianist are she/her and Singer is they/them. I'm unsure what you mean by "doesn't look quite like a girl".

For one, things like the Eye Brows and such don't look quite like a girl, plus Bartenders typically are male from what I understand. And the Singer is just a mystery huh.

The Singer is nonbinary. Bartender also isn't a gendered profession. As for the eyebrows and such, I still don't quite understand what you mean?

It's fine if you don't quite understand. Just know that people have generalized ideas of things in there heads. Like a lot of people when watching youtube videos think that the Bartender is a male at first, same with the pianist some. And the Singer, they really non binary? or are they just not wanting to let on to what gender they actually are?

I still make pronoun mistakes with Bartender and Pianist. I always assumed Singer was female identifying, but it's cool that they're nonbinary. I can see why people think Bartender is a male, since she's got a sort of masculine look to her, what with her thick, bushy eyebrows and tuxedo -- something you'd see on a barman in the 1920's. And Pianist just seems too angry to not be some bloodthirsty gentleman psychopath.

You get what I'm saying, and Singer was always a mixed bag for me. I mean, they can look feminine but they also look kinda male like. It's hard to tell with cats.

Ah, I see. And yes, the Singer is really nonbinary. They don't identify as male or female.
And I understand now. Historically people tend to put big eyelashes or small eyebrows on cartoon characters to signal them as female. This wasn't the case here.

now that I've invested more than 5 seconds into this tread, i want to know what was the decision behind each of the characters sex's,

And for the bartender discussion, aside from Karen's outfit in the office, and in that setting, I've never seen a woman wear that outfit in a bar "at least in SoCal" and along with the face and the dialogue being the basic tutorial guy that's always extra jolly dose'nt do her any favors

I don't really know why it matters? Canonically, the cats are very old, and that's where they're at right now. The outfit for the Bartender, as far as I'm aware, was selected because it matched the aesthetic of jazz club bartenders. There's no reason it has to be gender limited.
I did the outfit design for the other three cats myself.

No need to go on the attack, just wanted to know why they were chosen from a design standpoint and somewhat join in on an older point addressed in the thread. if I've got a question i'm gonna ask it.

I'm...not going on the attack. I'm a little confused, but I'm otherwise not emotionally invested in this conversation.

It tends to matter depending on the person.
Some people are just interested, some people are the type who like to have the details on everything, some people want to learn everything they can about characters they like.

It's just simple things like that. So even if it doesn't really matter to you, it could matter quite a lot to someone else.
