So if you're playing it on a two-player peer-to-peer server hosted on your computer, it'll keep your stats for next time you play.

If the game mentions that you're not supposed to play in singleplayer when you join the game, that means you haven't started a server correctly.

Alternatively, if you're playing on someone else's server, rejoin theirs to return to your stats.
