Attacking siege AI gets a massive brainfart whenever the first tower reaches the walls.
I noticed there isn't a discussion about this yet so I thought to make one. So I consistently get this issue, where an attacking enemy AI with a medium size army (10-20 units) will attack my settlement, they will push all of their towers to the walls, but the moment the first tower locks onto the wall and starts funneling troops over, the rest of the enemy siege assets will do a u-turn and then stand outside the settlement, usually within missile range for the rest of the fight. Makes defending sieges very time consuming. Happens when I have the whole medieval kingdoms 1212 AD modpack and the additional medieval city map mod in use. Happens consistently in both modpack maps as well as Total war Attila maps. Happens consistently in campaign siege battles and custom siege battles

From what I've heard and seen, I have had the same issue. Many are saying there are several steps you can take to deal with it but unfortunately havent seen anyone with any preventative fixes. Pretty sure the AI is just braindead unless it's a face to face. Try to ensure the AI have RAMs, enough siege towers, this gives them a little extra motivation if that doesn't work you're going to need a sacrificial Cav unit to eat whatever missile units the enemy has and try to coax them into the settlement. What I've also tried is making sure the AI only has one or two artillery units max, they'll usually charge in once they've exhausted their ammo. Forgot to mention but yes, it's just an Attila issue, same happens in MK 1212 aswell as AE.
