How to play as the Ayyubids?
All of the Cities pretty much have bad public order (PO) primarly due to religious difference, so I focused on trying to prevent a rebellion by cutting taxes, constructing PO buildings, and creating Garrison armies.

But that left my economy in the gutter*, which meant little development, and even then the PO barely goes up. Plus the second I move the armies away from the Cities to fight, the PO sh*ts the bed and the Rebels / mamluks took over.

I'm currently at my third attempt, any tips?

*Despite the fact i have trade aggreements with almost everybody lmao

I don't know if you already sorted it out at this point, but here is my experience on playing Ayyubid so far :

Focusing on recruiting sheikh / imam helps very much. Also make sure to have good governor traits and issue an edict that does increase your faction religion.

Expanding is okay, but don't overdo it. The catholic faction would call crusade on you, so you might want to focus on defending Cairo until the Crusade time limit is up.

Iron / Silver Mines are good way to boost economy, combine that with civic building that increase industrial income. Might want to focus on civil research and building library in every province as well to speed up those research
