What am I supposed to do
Honestly I've only really played much of 3k and warhammer. I started playing as Brabant and I tried to go for Groningen as soon as possible but it was way too damn hard, and I don't have the economy to recruit more units. Am I just supposed to spam end turn for like 30-50 turns until I can actually do something?

Smaller states require big brain power.

One of your best bets is quickly going after Single-city nations, (Such as the ripe-for-the-taking Welsh and Irish Kingdoms directly west of England). If you can beat those guys into submission quick, you won't have major repercussions with the English and you'll now have a decent bit of land/population to get yourself running!

Starting out as a single-city nation is hard in the beginning, but can give good benefits later on.
