Commercial zones failing
Hey Guys,

Aboslutly LOVE the mod! It added what is needed to the game, more challanges and a more alive city.

However, During night, My production zones keep failing, they complain about not enough buyers for goods, but the increase for industry is always very high,

Commercial zones however, there is no need for, ever, in my city i have absolutly minimal commercial zones, I dont know the reason, I feel that I need more commercial zones in order to sustain a larger industry and such, but something is off here. When I turn of RT the need for commercial increases heavily.

So what is wrong here? And is it possible for you guys to adjust the mod to cope with this?

thanks and best regards

Same issue here. Activated it in an existing city and my commercial demand in three types (Tourist, Entertainment and Default) went through the floor. My bustling night club district and popular touristy locations have now become ghost towns :/

Same. Same. Have been struggling with ever decreasing commercial demand, insatiable industrial demand, but then there are no buyers for their goods. Been running this mod for a long time but something seems out of whack.

First I should say that the mod is really awesome, so thank you dymanoid for the great work!

This issue have been frequently reported by the mod users. It is a bit annoying, as I planned my last Real Time city to have a nice and crowded downtown, but this is not happening due to the almost nonexistent commercial demand.

I've made an extensive search over forums to better understand the mechanics of commercial demand in C:S, and here's my pick for what is happening: as cims spend less time in their relaxing activities than in vanilla game, shops "loose" the competition against parks and unique buildings for visits, which kills the demand. However I might be wrong, as in the early months after the game launch people complained a lot about parks killing commercial demand, which apparently was quickly solved by Colossal Order - so this could not be the problem. On the other hand, the "shopping for fun" feature of Real Time could have reactivated the problem with parks, I don't know...

I may also be experiencing less truck traffic from the industries to the shops, but have no solid evidence for it.

Anyway, this mod is one of my favorites! Really hope to have an answer from @dymanoid. Is it a mod's feature that we should deal with? Or is it a bug/miscalibration that could be solved with an update?

Seeing the same, with RT enabled there's no demand at all for Commercial. Remove the mod and all the demand is back.

The demands are indirectly affected by Real Time, and there is a balance but it is different compared to the vanilla game. In general, less commercial buildings are needed compared to the original game. This is because most of the citizens only go shopping after work with Real Time, while they constantly buy goods during the day and the night in the vanilla game.
