Citizens/tourists leaving events before they start
@dymanoid Noticing that when events are soon to start people arrive then leave before it starts at both custom assets like the Prudential Center and in-game assets like the Grand Library, Match Day stadium and Concerts Festival Area which support events, slowed down the speed in the options but they still leave before it starts.

Also... How is the separate events mod with the customizable features for events going?

I have that too. They go in and go out right away. But in sum, I earn a lot more because more are coming into the stadiums.
I have it with the concerts fan aera and the second football stadium. Probably happens when there are more than one buildings with events at the same time

Have been experiencing an increase in the sales as well because of it...BUT it takes away from the whole essence of the events. From what I have seen it is not as a result of having more than one event at one time.

I concur. Had a match at the baseball stadium for university. People keep arriving and keep leaving at the same time. Makes you lose more matches I think.

It seems like there is some other mod that is causing this. Or maybe there is something special that needs to be built in the city. I cannot reproduce the issue, so there's no fix.

After testing out the different mods I have and investigating each event as they kept I think I have found the issue. The events operate like a work shift (correct me if I am wrong) so those who do work/ go to school will go to these events and stay and relax until whatever time the event ends.( It shows this as well when you click on them)

However, for citizens (seniors, uneducated children, unemployed) and the tourists will go to these events before they start and leave before the event starts as they dont have a job/school so the shift for the event doesn't seem to apply to them.

I believe this is the issue but for those who see this look in your cities before events to see if this is what you are seeing as well.

No, the events are not tied with work shifts. They are independent from each other.

Lol interesting ...well the only thing I did before I saw this problem was purchase Concerts DLC otherwise mods and assets were the same. Hope someone finds the issue before the events mod is published.

I think the problem is related to the "better behaviour at bus stop".

People leave events the same way it happens with bus stops when limit is reached, i think it's related to that option.

Can someone check and confirm? Maybe we finally found where the problem is

No, these are completely different things. When a citizen attends an event, they know when the event will end. So they schedule staying there until the event is finished. When a citizen leaves the event before it ends, that means:
- either the citizen didn't want to attend that event at all and was just shopping/hanging around/working there
- or there is evacuation/disaster
This is according to Real Time's code. If there is any other mod that changes something, of course these schedules might not work as expected.

Anyone found the problem causing this?

The only thing I have been able to think which could cause it from observing the game is that when events get rescheduled (due to clashes I assume) they treat the event buildings as regular unique buildings until an event starts there, in which case they stay to the end.

OR because tourists/exchange students dont have the parameter to stay until the end time so treat it as a normal unique building.

It could be one or a combination of both. Please check in-game to confirm or deny what I'm seeing.
