Renegades
More of a lore question, but what are Renegades? I noticed their faces look zombified yet they carry guns.

Can't say there's any confirmed lore, but my head-canon explanation is;
Renegades are people who have been infected but shown a level of resistance to fully turning, however there is a level of physiological corruption and they're basically "feral" functioning human beings.
