The Feedback Loop
Post bugs, suggestions, and feedback here.

Guidelines:
  • Must not require any additional models/materials/sounds - outside the scope of this project, which is to add better/additional HL2 NPCs.
  • Must not be too similar to other groups currently included - ideas on how to improve/add upon pre-existing files welcome.
  • Don't be a jägoff if I shoot down your idea.
  • I will merge/delete other threads at my own discretion.

Not easily workable as maps would need proper air nodes. Most maps don't have them, and the maps that do usually have them done incorrectly, causing the helicopter or gunship to just float and spin.

Copy the model path from the model you want to use by right-clicking the spawn icon. Use the console command to change the model for the custom groups.

There's a help string that'll pop up if you did it wrong giving an example.

So, if I were to change the custom rebel squad to include a medic, would it work as a whole, as the others do?

Not necessary an suggestion, but would very much appreciate you making sure that Hostle and Combine AI does not prioritizes you over other significant present threats in the area.
As of now, if they catch sight of you, they will practically ignore all other enemies and go for the player/s only.

As of now, if they catch sight of you, they will practically ignore all other enemies and go for the player/s only.
I can try. Right now they're set using the NPC relationship values, so I can adjust them to make the player one number lower. To my knowledge, if the player is the same numeric value as another type of NPC, the player will take priority.

Pretty sure I have already. Did you even check?
Strider group, Like at the start of hl2 there is a strider guarded with an apc and a few CP's

@V92 i don't know if you take suggestions, but if you were to make a elite free combine soilder group, you could name it "highway 17 fireteam"

since that's where you see groups of combine soldiers without the elites, in highway 17,

also could you add a damage multiplier option for each faction or unit, that would be great
