I want chex quest too. Maybe even with support for deh mods so that we can have the deh gore mod + chex quest

and yeah, when you put chex.wad instead of doom.wad, then it should work. if it doesn't, rename chex.wad to doom.wad, then it should work

i believe chex quest will work since its really just a doom reskin

1 and 3 should work because they are IWads,
2 wont work off the bat because it's a PWad.

There's probably a way to patch the contents of Chex Quest 2 straight into the Doom 2 IWad, But that's where my helpfulness on this topic unfortunately ends. If it is possible it should be fairly simple. I hope this helps you.

I tried CHEX.wad and CHEX3.wad and none of them worked just missing textures.

Probably the wrong Chex Quest 3, There were 2 releases of Chex Quest 3, an official one and a fanmade one that was released far before the official one that was a mod for Doom 2.
Maybe try the one from the webarchive comercial WAD archive:

This archive has all official Doom WADs to my knowledge. If it doesn't work I'll try some personal testing and see if I can find a way to get it working with Chex quest myself.

Tried the CHEX3.wad and renamed it to DOOM.wad and DOOM2.wad didn't work

After looking it up, The official Chex 3 actually runs off of a modernized (Z)Doom engine, So try CHEX.wad, That might work.

Tried CHEX.WAD earlier and it didn't work. and keep in mind that the one i had was from the dos version.

The assets are probably in different locations in the IWad then, assuming that the version you tried is the right version of Chex Quest
