I have this problem and tried everything, I subscribed, and tried re-subscribing, I enabled the mod in my modlist (this is my only mod) and have restarted the game countless times. I also tried disabling all the DLCs, didn't work. Deleting the Mod database file didn't work either. I even tried downloading and putting the files in manually but they seem to already be in the "MODS" folder. And yes, I do have Gods and Kings. I really want to play this mod but I can't seem to get it to work right.

Are you not even getting the races? If you are but not getting the map, scroll down on map type and pick westeros or westeros and esteros(depending on if you want dathraki and khaleesi in the game) and press load scenario to get the map with the right spawn locations.

I'm in literally the exact same situation as Don't Trip. Tried all of the above and still cannot get the mod to work.

Ive loaded the mod countless times in the mods list in-game and pressed the next button but to no avail. The game does not load anything, it shows up on the MODS list then when I check the races or maps none of it appears, like the mod is non-existent.

This is my first mod, Im running it on Win 7 Ultimate 64x and my computer is pretty new and good enough to run any game out right now I don't understand why this mod is not working, I was really looking forward to trying this mod out :/

Delete your "A Mod of Ice and Fire (G&K) (v 3)" folder from Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS. Unsub to all mods that you have subscribed. Write them down or something so you can subscribe after this.
Close the game and the steam process (exit steam or task manager) and download the mod manually from the link in the description. Now extract the "A Mod of Ice and Fire (G&K) (v 3)" from the .zip to the MODS folder mentioned above and delete the CIV5ModsDatabase once again.
If that doesn't work, you might have to verify the integrity or something like that, because that folder is exactly the same as if you had successfully downloaded and installed the game via workshop.

Damn I was hoping it would work after that.. Oh well thanks for taking the time to respond.

What happens when you check the mod's box and click next?

When I click the green check next to the mods list ingame and press next, it loads for a little bit then gives a small "confirmation" window showing the mod has been activated. (This is the ONLY mod I have subscribed for this game). But when I go to the singleplayer mode or multiplayer there seems to be no sign of the mod actually working, all the races are still default, even in advanced setup, and the maps are non-existent. Haha the more this mod doesn't work the more I want to play it.

You have to choose the single player mode that shows up after you click next. It seems you are going back to the menu, because there shouldn't be the Multiplayer mode there.
Mods->Check box->Next->Single Player->Set up game

Oh man I always thought it was just a confirmation window after Next and that Back was the only choice. Damn that feels like a slap in the face LOL, oh well this is my first mod. I just clicked Singleplayer and it works now. Thanks Luir.
