Did you try to choose an image and re-visit the wallpaper? :owforce:

same, and when I try to choose an image and restart the wallpaper the background become white (tried with jpg an png images)

Can you please try to choose image, restart the wallpaper and then paste here the last error that is found in C:\Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/wallpaper_engine/bin/debug.log? :owforce:

Hey, I have the same problem, only way I have to use a custom background is to "publish preset", then subscribe to it (even changing a downloaded preset's background image doesn't work)
Trying to change the background image then restarting the wallpaper just makes the background white
Also I don't know if it's the right one but the last error in debug.log is [0616/150802.761:WARNING:value_store_frontend.cc(42)] Reading mhjfbmdgcfjbbpaeojofohoefgiehjai.alarms from failed: IO error: .../LOCK: No further details. (ChromeMethodBFE: 15::LockFile::1)
