Custom .ini edits based off this mod
I took this mod as inspiration to basically custom design my own difficulty with .ini edits to DefaultGameData, i'll share them here in case anyone else wants them or they give the mod author any ideas. all the entries are for commander difficulty so just replace the appropriate sections if you want to use these edits.

the tldr of these edits is that i very slightly lowered the doom gain on the fortress (instead of every 14 days it's now every 14-18 days, avg 16) but massively increased both the rate at which facilities spawn and the rate at which the generate doom. they also ramp up construction rate over the first 3 months, with month one being set to the default rate and getting faster every month. also there's no more hidden doom delay where the avatar project basically 'pauses' before getting back to work, and no endgame grace period once all 12 bars are full. i set certain values to 1 or 2 instead of 0 just in case 0 happened to be invalid somehow for that variable, to be safe.
