Can you change to HTML 5 instead of crappy flash?
I can use flash fine but can you change to much better html5 than requiring to install flash?

the problem is that the built in video engine in gmod is outdated so only flash is supported if you want to get html5 you need to get facepunch to update the engine or make a dll file that updates the engine.

I can see it's using the firefox webegine instead of Chrome v8 web engine, if they changed to that instead you wouldn't need it to also testing another mod that shows videos on a screen that uses chromes engine instead of firefoxes not needing it

Also I am using Linux not Windows.

1. they dont have control of the video engine (facepunch does) 2. dll files are compatable with linux (sometimes requires extra software depending on distrubtion(gmod has the compatiblity built in))

Garry's Mod uses Awesomium, which is built on top of Chromium v18. Facepunch is working on upgrading to Chrome Embedded Framework (CEF). However, there is no ETA. In addition, the version of CEF to be shipped with GMod will not include proprietary codecs such as H.264 (MP4).

HTML5 would be so useful for me since flash drags my computer and I decided to go without it. I can't use this addon. :/
