Pigtails are a big much
Doesn't really fit the aesthetic of Warframe [and imo specifically Octavia] with them added, this isn't an anime game for weeaboos. I still shudder at the thought of the Nova skin with the hat.

Not sure I like the idea of the earpieces floating, that would fit more into Mag and Nova's aesthetics I feel. Needs some more work.

don't buy it then... some people love this others hate it. If you are a "weeb" then you'll buy this is a second. in that retrospect it's amazing
I'm not even a "weeb" and I think this looks excellent.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean the people who do shouldn't be able to enjoy it. I feel the whole point of Tennogen is to branch out to different tastes and styles. If everything just stuck to one single look, it'd be rather dull and boring.

Doesn't really look out of place considering Nezha and Wukong's default. Nezha's being even more pronounced than this one even with the alternate helmet.

idk what 'weebs' are....

But what ever this is, it looks aweful. I love my song bird bard. But I would hate for this to be the only thing I get to throw my money at for my fav. metal suit

Then don't throw your money at it?

So don't throw money at it. Simple solution. I'm sure someone else will eventually make other Octavia stuff.

Nyx is my personal favorite frame. I don't get upset because not every tennogen thing that comes out for her is something I'm interested in. Athena came out, it's amazing, and I love it. Which I think is the beauty of Tennogen - there's a little something for everyone.
Alveenia 10 Oct, 2017 @ 7:22pm
1. They're twin (pony) tails.
2. I have to say I don't like the big pink twin tails, they look rough and cheap.
3. This is a game for weaboos. What makes you think that weaboos will not love a cool game like Warframe?

I guess we're not allowed to criticze

alright, i get that some of you guys are upset about this skin, but to be perfectly fair, wukong has twin tails, for default and vanilla, nezha has the same, and now this may look cheap in some areas i don't exactly think it would be esy to make something like this, the creator can still perfect it. and if anyone still has any issues with this, there is a reason why there is a giant amount of customization in the game, it's to fit with the person, people can like what they like and you don't need to. warframe isn't afraid to break away from the normal obviously with hitsusans nova skin and other examples. hell 3 years ago if you told me that there would be winged syandanas and syandanas that are stationary and solid on the back i would have said youre crazy. lots like this design and other designs whereas others may hate it. plus keep in mind this is tennogen, where people pour passion into a work of art, and i bet if most of you guys had made something that looks beautiful to you and you put probably hours upon hours of work into horrible, you would feel embarrased and angry. be respectful please. as to adress the weeb comment, there are aspects of japanese culture in warframe like it or not, and you enjoy it. if you think that someone is a weeb because they like an japanese style so much that they make amazing art work out of it, than look at yourself. you all play warframe, a game with japanese aspects inside of it. and alot of you are in love with it so do you really have any right to talk down on tennogen creators like ths? youre allowed to critisize yes, but if you are do it with constructive feed back so the creator knows what to focus on when they come to this skin again, afterall I know this creator edits their skins because their sword has gone through about 5 or more stages, and mithra mirage which the first model caught my attention was posted waaaay back and was edited recently, and yet again to change the head piece. put some form of feed back that helps, this "But what ever this is, it looks aweful" is just horrible, put something liek this looks aweful, but it could be better, perhaps edit the details and make them more refined pigtails and perhaps make the gap smaller to reduce the amount of space it would take up on the screen". japanese anime and things like it are popular and people like it, don't shame them for liking something, it can get a bit weird sometimes i know that but they like that stuff and i'm sure you like other stuff that someone out there hates. When a game opens up people to make things for the game, you can bet you will see inspiration from other things seeping into the design. hell i learned to accept this as fact, if something gets to a popular state, you will see it in your game, wether it takes the form of fanart like darksouls miku, or in the form of a skin, octavia diva. same thing for overwatch and our omnic atlas helper thanks to rekkou, games will seep into eachother in many forms. *this doesn't only go for games even a content creator pulls inspiration from other things like hydroxate and him making designs based off of real life things. again keep in mind that there are people who put a TON of effort into their art work, they give up their freetime to make it. to top this all off we all knew someone was going to try to make a vocaloid resembeling warframe or skin eventually, hell there are jokes about nezha miku for that reason, i can even pull one out with a hatsune miku moa chasing a loki prime Rin for those of you who want a differant miku skin, simple go ahead and make it, find how hard it is to actually make a piece of art that you enjoy and that everyone loves. it's impossible because we all have differant tastes. (on a more positive side note i love this skin, good job lukinu keep up the great skins :D )

I never said that (albeit I don't like the arguement of "it doesn't fit the warframe astetic"). Sorry if I came across that way, I was mildly annoyed about most people on here not knowing what the definition of the word weeb is...

The issue has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not we should buy it. The OP and many others think that a look like this would be increadibly breaking to the rest of the game's visuals. We don't have teddy bear costumes, we don't have school uniforms, we don't have rainbow kitten beams, and we don't have anime hairstyles.

We have some warframes with "hair", sure, but they're all muuuuuuuch more conservative and fitting. I feel that the hair really needs to be toned down into something more akin to energy ribbons, or removed entirely.

The rest of the skin is fine, so no offense meant at all, but I really hope DE doesn't cave in to the mass weeb votes and let this pass. I haven't been here since Update 3 just to see a bunch of anime warriors leaping about.

I can definatly see where this is coming from however I kinda dislike the "it doesnt fit the astetic" arguement because if we stick to the current astetic and never push the boundries then well never really get anything new and whats the point in that. Warframes with hair arn't exactly uncommon, this is a new kind of hair yes, but others are represented as more ribbon-like as you said. However, once again, if we dont push it then thats all we're going to have is the same warframes with the same style (if we didnt go out of the warframe interests then octavia wouldnt even exist if you go off of a quote from DE several years back). As for DE "not caving in to the mass weeb votes" its currently >90% approvment rate according to the designer AND people were wearing Boku no hero shirts in a warframe stream, the anime style is nothing new to DE staff.

You also make it sound like a "weeb's" vote is less valuble than a "normal person's" vote. If it's the majority vote then they will consider it... it doesn't matter what kind of media they enjoy.

Pet pieve ik but please stop using the word weeb... you're refering to people who like the anime astetic not people who think Japan is like it is in anime (western definition). Btw, Miku isnt from an anime, she is a vocaloid (but i guess thats me being pedantic and slightly off topic).

why do you stereotype this as an anime hairstyle anyways? it's a hairstyle itself. you think it's an anime hairstyle because a popular vocaloid uses it, that's it, the fact is it's enrgy hair in pigtails. the design may be inspired by hatsune, but guess what. luka and cyber diva are vocaloids and they has straight hair, everyone with straight hair must be a vocaloid then. perhaps anyone with short cut hair that just grows out must be a reference to taito and kaito, no? maybe every girl with short hair must be representing meiko and YANHE. perhaps girl with a long ponytail must be like UNI. here, i got more every elementary girl with pigtails must be the result of Rana. here, i'll stop with the really heavy anime looking ones, how about you look up Vocaloid Bruno and Clara. they don't look like hatsune miku but they are vocaloids. here wanna know something cool? your operator has a hair that reminds me a lot of a japanese one that the vocaloid Gackpo has, it's shorter but it's basically his style. now to make you think about anime warriors in a different way, not all anime have this cheerful saturated look, you just think of that because you stereotype it as that as i can see with " we don't have kitten beams, or bear costumes." "we don't have school uniforms" you think every anime is just a combination of that, or the majority. but if you go around you will see there are some depressing animes out there without this cheerful look, the classic anime looking eyes.keep in mind anime is just stereotyped as japanese cartoons. anime as it's core is just animated drawings, hell even spongebob could be called an anime. to beat this down for anime hair styles once and for all... anime hairstyles ARE BASED OFF NORMAL HAIR STYLES. look at light yagami, look at taito, look at Eren from attack on titan, they all sport the same short cut male hair style you could find in real life. even if you counter this with it just looks japanese, warframe is japanese to it's CORE look at mag, her feet resemble Zori, ember as a man wore japanese clothing, volt has some samurai elements to them in his armour, LOKI WEARS A KIMONO, even ash the former crowd favorite kill stealer has samurai armor and throws shurikens, nova the favorite CC and damage boost of warframe has bubble socks which came from japan! even the nikana is based from the katana made in japan and the community loved it so much that they made 3 variants and 4 skins for it.all of the above i 100% guarantee you are in some anime out there. though i agree they should be toned down, i wouldn't dumb it down to where the signature of this skin is taken away. also to compare it to miku? her design came from real life you know, saying that every long pigtailed skin or person represents miku is just stupid. and i know you are because you went on a rant about anime beams and kittens, teddy bear outfits. perhaps you still disagree with me? BLADE STORM, god that sounds a lot like an anime movie. also they have nunchucks in this game... and you're looking down on people and calling them weebs, the definition of a weeb *i hate the word too* is someone who is obsessed with japanese culture, if that's SO TRUE YOU HATE WEEBS, THEN SHAME ON DE FOR MAKING A GAME BASED OFF OF ANIME CULTURE AND SHAME ON YOU FOR STILL PLAYING IT! ***for the vocaloid part... holy crap i actually didn't even know 4/5 of them actually even existed ).)***
