these are the two kind of weapon workbenches :) btw i found a "the art of fallout" e-book (i think) or picture collection about fallout and all the stuff in it. maybe you can pick some inspiration out of this :) but i don't know if you can just find it for free on the web or have to purchase it..
That's a good idea, I'll look forward to see if I can find more artbook regarding fallout props, in fact I've used the upper left workbench of that img to color pick and design the workbench mod that I've just released on the FOCollection. The real challenge is to make something flat and simple to fit Project Highrise standards, so these are just for inspiration, like you said.
The next one will be inspired on something like this: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/9/97/Art_of_Fo4_Chemistry_station.png/revision/latest?cb=20170124112326
the upper left is the one who covers more space in 2d than the rusty sticks, this would look much better i think too :)
and yeah they are just for the inspiration and details for the translation to 2d PH standards :D
hope i could help :)
but i got a few optimisations you may want to do:
to the power armour:
maybe get it in the yellow stand for it? but in fact it is looking really cool so this don't has to be, it is fine as it is but one thing: the head :D i think it is slightly too small :D
and the flags:
maybe get them on 3 parts of PH tiles and rotate them by 90° so they show the sign in the right way. to cover the lower section may you add some rubbish, boxes or cases (a few red and black/grey lines).
and do not forget to fix the flag with stripes or nails?
but the flags got a really cool design boyye :D the shadows are awesome details :) and you hit the symbols nearly perfect for a PH translation :D (c&p?
Thanks for the suggestions,
- regarding the yellow stand I can make another version with the x-01 just like I did with the protectron (with and without the pod). Unfortunately, I can't make the head bigger, it would touch the ceiling and I need some "breather" there. It's the exact same size of the reference image I used
https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/1/1c/FO4_X-01_Power_Armor.png/revision/latest?cb=20171208074227
- it's a great idea to make flags horizontally, I'll make those versions as well in the future and nailed to the wall, but I'd rather keep the current flags version clean, some rubbish would interfere with the art from my point of view... however I can make some rubbish/boxes and cases appart on another mod or for another kind of flags.
i just looked up the power armour again and the picture you posted, you are right. it fits perfectly. totally :) nice work man :)
oh lord, dat captain
