Magic can't hurt them much, arrow just a little better. Their leadership are too high, it almost take 20-25 minutes to rout the skinks. Could not shatter them just rout.
I also don't like Goblins fighting to the last man, it's immersion-breaking.
Hahaha, 2 units of clanrats are obliterating a unit of Black Guard of Naggarond as we speak. Morale system is broken af with skaven, they won't break, cast flame storm on them twice nothing, charge Black Guard into them nothing, surround with units including Malekith nothing. The morale system is broken.
Doing a VH/H campaign right now and it's pretty enjoyable. I tried legendary but the battle buffs seemed a bit excessive.
It's already much much harder than vanilla in normal.
Vanilla VH is very doable, even "easy" with certain factions. With SFO, VH can be painful considering how SFO hinders the player.
The best setup for SFO new player is N/N. If you have played around SFO, go H/N. SFO is balanced around normal and hard.
Edit: I am also fairly new to SFO.
