Makeshift fix for Fx_Billboards - RESOLVED
So as many people know, there is an issue with Fx_Billboards package of this mod, to which I've found a solution. I've cleared the FX_Billboards package of all the texture arrays that cause crashes upon mission start.
The modified package can be found here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1i0Kmrn99eOuKCY_zIGr147ai8EVR-auU?usp=sharing
All you have to do is go to *Disc*/SteamLibrary/SteamApps/workshop/content/268500/1140305914/Content and replace this mod's Fx_Billboards, with the one that I supplimented. The only downside of this switcheroo is that holobillboards will no longer display mugshots of your soldiers.
since 20.05.2023 fix is included in the build of the mod. No manual-swap is required any longer

A sidenote, you may also need to copy this replacement file to -other map mods- that also have the FX_Billboards file, like Dr.Mandarbs WOTC Pack (if you uncomment the lines for the extra Vehicle Dealership maps to be able to use them)

It didn't crash, unless there was another mod/mappack that also has an FX_Billboards.upk
. Mod added maps would crash if this mod and the map mod both needed to use FX_Billboards. This fixes that specific issue.

ok since the only reason im interested in geting this mod is that it brings the mugshot holoboards back, so it would be kinda pointless if i had to disable them anyway

I just had crashing with my first infiltration mission in LWOTC, gonna give this fix my map packs (separate mods) a go now.

Can confirm that Maps by Vozati and Waterfowl's Map pack DO NOT need this fix applied.

This fixed the crashing part for me. Did it for Doctor Mandarbs Map-Pack (WotC) as well.

Please note the updated FX_Billboards file is now included by default in the updated version of Mandarb's map pack:
