How would the new painting style work?

Like how would it work, would we have to choose wether to pain "a" or "b"? How would it work, I'm so confuzzled!

it would work exactly the same as ALL the other items ingame that has paint styles.
you realy just answered your own question. you either paint "A" of "B"
