Could uoi make the nations use the respective textures? For example Rome (Maybe Carthage) use Italian skins and the Greek nations, including Macedonia use the Greek skins.

I definately want to add textures but right now I have other ideas which I plan to work on first

You really should rename Romania to Dacia for the next update. The Roman Empire considered Dacia a threat to their empire. There were to Daco-Roman wars, first one was won by Dacia, second was won by the Roman Empire. And from my opinion Dacia should have a national focus tree, because before the wars, Dacia was involved in Rome's civil wars, sending troops to one side.

Yes, Romania should be renamed Dacia.

I will add Dacia somewhere in the coming weeks and later on it will get its focus tree. Researching the exact history of each country takes up a lot of time and therefore it might take some months until I have created a full focus tree for Dacia, I might make a temporary one befire the full version of it

It's probably going to be changed anyway, but I don't think "Berbers" is a good name for the people in Morocco at this time. "Mauri" maybe, for how the Romans called them, there was a Berber kingdom called Mauretania in Northern Morocco and Northern Algeria, or you could just annex it to Carthage, because Carthage held a large slice of Northern Morocco at around this time.

At some point, I want to see the Celts and Iberians get some love - by breaking up the states in France and Spain into smaller ones before implementing the tribes. It may be long, difficult work, but spending dedicated time to building your confederation is a wonderful form of gratification.

And if there's nobody working on it - hell, I'll do it.

Also, because it occurred to me later - I have an idea of how to represent culture.

On the political pie.

Now hear me out - aside from the divide separating settled and nomadic people, most governments in this time period effectively governed the same way, just with different flavors of ruling elites. The emperors of Rome and China aren't much different conceptually than tribal chiefs - it's only the scale that matters. How cultures perceive and treat other states diplomatically, however, is VERY important. Because Chinese diplomats held a different view of their neighbors than Roman diplomats did of their own.

I propose: using the political pie chart to track 'cultural concentration' instead of political strength of parties, each with their own diplomatic preferences. Using the following divisions, at first glance:

-Red (Roman Republic)
-Purple (Roman Empire)
-Crimson (Hellenized/Greek culture)
-White (Punic/Carthaginian/Egyptian culture)
-Medium Blue (Iberian/Celtic culture)
-Black (Germanic Culture)
-Pink (Persian/Central Asian)
-Light Green (Northern Chinese/Korean/Japanese)
-Dark Green (Southern Chinese/Asian Minor)
-Gold (Indian Major)
-Silver/Gray (Indian Minor)

Incorporating other states into your kingdom may also increase the culture percentage by event or focus, which may change what your kingdom looks like with time.

Of course, this means that boost party popularity and popularity gain focuses are going to be problematic, and that programming so many variations of states will be a challenge. With a big enough team, however, it can be surmounted.

Add hunnic/turkic peoples in the steppe, with "Slavic tribes' in northern steppe
Snuut 7 Sep, 2017 @ 9:29pm
for Roman generals you could have people like caesar have bonuses in forests and hills and scipio africanus have bonuses in deserts and mountains stuff like that

@CharlieGM I really like your idea. I will consider to add it somewhere this month

Changing the generals doesn't have my priority right now and it will therefore take some months until I will work on it.
