90x90 seems like a 'sweet spot' - even bigger, with little extra obvious impact on frames, without running into the visual oddities.
So in case of my mod the config.txt consists only of:
config.regionsize.base.x=50
config.regionsize.base.y=50
The rest is taken from the original config. This is important keep the option to use other mods related to the config.txt.
If you would just copy the full config.txt (from the OriginalConfigs Folder) into your mod folder and change only this to values, your mod has a 50:50 Chance to block all other config.txt mods. This is for sure the same for the other modding files. Always include only the parameters, that you want to change.
You can also change the map size if you want, but this was not interesting for me. Here are the variables taken from the config.txt with the original settings:
config.regionsize.world.x=120
config.regionsize.world.y=60
