For the first time, the java installer found my install folder (on previous version, I had to copy paste the installer in the Orion install folder), thank you for the improvement ! :)
The new one has enough knowledge of Steam to locate the library file and look in all Steam’s defined library paths looking for the Game's install folder.
Btw you said you didn't add any toolltips for adaptiv in any language but in german its translated:
"Erhöht% Lebensmittel und% Produktion nutzbare Zellen ohne Terraforming."
Sounds a little strange but you can get the meaning (except the % thing ... the number is just missing). Or do you wanted to make this perk hidden ?!? I'm confused.
Two other things about ucp and perks i just remembered:
1: The translation for the perk: Homeworld-Ressource would be: "Ressourcen der Heimatwelt" in german (if you want to add this).
2: You sorted the special perks in alphabetical order for english (i guess), but that make no sense in german. Before that change all the "sets" would sit together (Technologist+Expansionist+Industrial ... or Aquatic+Plains Dweller+Jungle Creature) but now they are just randomly thrown together it seems. They are not sitting together in sets nor in alphabetical order ... just totally chaotic without logic in german. (and i guess in all other languages except english too).
I don't think it's a good idea to sort them that way (i had to make my own racialperk.yaml to sort them again).
I think it would be better to let them sit in "sets", so in every language they would sit together regardless of their spelling.
Let me try for german ;-) :
"Erhöht die nutzbaren Zellen für Nahrung und Produktion eines Planeten um 25 % bis zum Maximum"
You can write "(außer Gaia)" (except Gaia) too instead of "bis zum Maximum".
You can write ß as a ss in german too btw :"ausser" -> "ausser Gaia"
Or you write : "bis maximal Gaia" (up to a maximum Gaia) <- ? there my english is leaving me :-)=)
They translated it like the race from "horse race" like running and not race like humans or psilons. They wrote somthing like this : "The running is not influenced by low/high grav ..."
It should be: "Die Rasse ist geringe Schwerkraft gewohnt und leidet unter normaler und hoher Schwerkraft"
(The race is used to low gravity and suffers from normal and high gravity)
And : "Die Rasse ist starke Schwerkraft gewohnt und leidet unter geringer Schwerkraft"
(The race is used to strong gravity and suffers from low gravity)
Suddenly they talk about strong (starke) gravity and not high but i guess thats ok because it counts for normal and high gravity.
And one last translation error in the upper left corner of the racial perk screen:
The error is under OWN RACE ... there they write : "Wählen Sie Ihre benutzerdefinierten Rennmerkmale" (choose your own user defined racing characteristics) :-\
It should be: "Wählen Sie Ihre eigenen Rassenmerkmale"
I don't know if i should post all of this here, if there's a better thread for it tell me pls :-)
Thx for your work perhaps i find more ;-)
In french there is also an horrible mistake in the tech tree, where a building "upgrades" an other. They translated "upgrades" as a plural noun instead of a 3rd person verb, which leads to the opposite meaning... And we cannot fix it since it is in the original game... :(
But yeah in English, it just says "Increases food and production..." but does not tell by how much either. I have changed that to be "+{0}\% %food and %production usable cells without terraforming." in the forthcoming 6.3. So in game at least for English it will say "+25% %food and %production usable cells without terraforming." The game changes “%food” and “%production” to those little icons and proper text for language selected.
I did alphabetize the special race perks listing, back in 6.1a, as the current ordering is just the order in the YAML files. Which I think is close to being in a kind of what you could call a set order, but would not agree that it was perfect. But honestly I never looked at it that way, it just looked like a jumble to me and since they did not impose an ordering figured I would. With that being said, there is no current way to switch that order out per language, other than what you did. Agreed that a set type ordering would probably make more sense given this constraint. I will adjust that for 6.3.
just started a new game and saw that there are many many writing errors in the techtree now.
You made spaces between things that should make an icon... for example biospheres have now "% food max pop +2" (or something like that in english) written on.
That error is in many things now ... % food not %food or % population_growth on microbiotics. There slipped many spaces in and many symbols are not shown anymore.
Automated repair unit, power armor, battleoids ... dont know how many are wrong now.
Sry but that is to much to write down i guess you've to go through the whole things you've changed.
Perhaps you auto-sorted it somehow so you could auto-sort it back ?!?
You can load this in excel or OpenOffice. Just update the column for German and post output somewhere I can grab it. Otherwise not much I can do about the google translations. English is unfortunately the only language I can communicate in and even in that one I do a bad job overall.
So far I have only received human performed translations for Russian, French, and Polish.
I sent you a friend request that we can talk about how do i do this and how i sent an output.
